The One with the Empties November 2016

Reminder: Enter my “Sweet Scents” Christmas Giveaway here until December 12!

I feel awful I haven’t posted an entry lately! December has been a whirlwind for me! I find by the time I get the opportunity to sit down and write, all the natural daylight is gone. I’m sure you beauty bloggers get how necessary daylight is for decent pictures to go with your posts!

These are all my empties from November and I have way more to share than I had in my past empties posts! I’m not going to post “official” descriptions of products this time just so I can keep things a little more condensed and a quicker read.

First, facial wipes! I have no clue how I managed to finish all these within a few days of each other. Probably because I switched back and forth between them all  for months!

Simple Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipes
These are by far my favourite wipes I tried. They are intended specifically for removing makeup and they do an amazing job, while also being gentle on my skin. I will continue buying these!

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
These are pretty good at removing makeup also, but it doesn’t glide off as perfectly as it does with the micellar wipes (obviously). I think these are great if you don’t want to wash your face at night but I never skip a night of washing so I wouldn’t buy these instead of the micellar wipes. I do have a few more packages to use though!

Simple Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes
I thought these were pretty good, also. I really couldn’t tell if they controlled shine or not. They are a little less wet than the previous two, which I didn’t like. I wouldn’t purchase them again because it seems like an unnecessary step in my skincare regime.

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract
I used these almost a year ago and I remember liking them. But this time around, I hated them! They seemed so dry! I’m wondering if I just got a bad pack. I found I had to really scrub to get my makeup off which isn’t good for my skin. I won’t buy these again.

The Body Shop Pomegranate Firming Serum
I liked this serum a lot. It’s hard to say if the anti-aging aspects work because for me it’s preventative (except my eye creams – darn laugh lines!). But it met my expectations I have for a serum – works well under makeup or when layering skin care, isn’t sticky, has a nice smell, applies easily, etc. When it goes on sale, I’ll definitely buy again.

The Body Shop Pomegranate Firming & Refreshing Eye Roll-On
I know I love a product when I really miss using it! I was using this day and night, and it’s only 10 ml, but it lasted me 3 months. The roll-on is really neat because it’s so gentle on your delicate undereye area. This is a thin formula and I always layered it with an eye cream on top. I definitely noticed a difference in my fine lines and can’t wait to buy this again.

NeoStrata Acne Clear Clarifying Gel Cleanser 2% Salicylic Acid
This lasted me forever! I started using it around this time last year! I did stop for awhile over the summer while I tried out some Vichy products (posted about them here) but recently went back to this one. I like this cleanser for acne a lot but I think I preferred the Vichy so depending on prices, I think I’m more inclined to buy the Vichy again.

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator Exfoliating Cleanser
This is another cleanser that I’ve had a really long time. I think I got it in a BirchBox back when they actually shipped to Canada! Do you ever love a product so much that you don’t want to finish it? So you just let it sit there with one last use in it waiting for the perfect day to use it?! No?! Just me?!  XD This cleanser really does what it claims. I have redness on my cheeks and after using this, it’s almost disappeared. It brightens my face so much! I need to buy more of this now…

Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers
I just discovered these recently while browsing on Amazon one day. I’ve never seen them in stores before so I decided to give them a shot. I’m so happy I did! I really think these are awesome. Any time I get a whitehead, I pop that sucker with a clean needle and place one of these covers over top of it. I normally use them overnight and yes, they stick all night long. The occasional one would fall off but that’s it. They work amazing to draw out all the pus and oil so you don’t have that disgusting whitehead on the pimple! I also love that they don’t dry out your skin! I’ve already bought 4 packs of these since the summer…

ArtNaturals Vitamin C Age Defying Serum
I think I actually finished this in September and forgot to post it. I’m having a hard time remembering much about it. I guess it didn’t leave a big impression on me. I don’t remember anything negative about it so that’s a good thing. I really liked the medicine dropper bottle it came in! I found this on Amazon and picked it up on a whim.

Caudalie VinoPerfect Radiance Serum
This isn’t my favourite radiance serum but it’s not bad also. I thought I liked it a lot more until I started using Ole Henriksen’s Truth Serum (that stuff is awesome). So I wouldn’t buy this again but it did work as far as brightening. I don’t have anything negative to say about it; I just found something that worked for me better!

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream
This is an interesting product. I wasn’t sure what it was supposed to do at first because the little sample has no description on it. I ended up reading that the aroma is supposed to help you become sleepy. I can say that, for me, it did not. I have a hard time sleeping though so there’s that! And I can’t say I care for the smell at all. It’s not up my alley! But I will say that when I wake up in the morning after using this, my skin is simply glowing! No joke. I recently picked up an Origins set (you can see it in my Sephora post) that has a larger size of this product in it!

That’s it for my November empties! I got through a lot of products which is fantastic but I still have endless piles more to use up! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think! Also, link me to your empty posts as I love reading product reviews on tried and tested stuff!!

xoxo, Tigritsa
