The One with the Sephora Haul October 2016

Last month, I was sucked into a Sephora order because they sent me an e-mail that said I only have to buy $87 worth of stuff and I will qualify for VIB.  XD I’ve never been VIB before and with the sale coming up (Nov 11th), I really wanted that 20% off coupon (so I can spend more money, ha)! I wanted to share what I bought!

I’m a big fan of Sephora’s value sets because there’s usually 1 or 2 items I’ve already tried that I know I love and then a bunch of other products that I can try out. This Origins Bestsellers set contains 6 products for $58 ($120 value). A few of the items are actually a really good size! I’m impressed!

I have already been using the Night-a-Mins so I knew I liked that product, and I really wanted to try the Active Charcoal mask that everyone raves about. It also comes with face wash, moisturizer, a mask, and eye cream! This set has all your skin care needs covered.

This set includes Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash, Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores, By All Greens Foaming Deep Cleansing Mask, High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream, GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer, and GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream.

The next set I decided to pick up is the Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Wonders. This was in the sale section of Sephora’s website for $40 down from $52 ($73.50 value). Since I love a good eye cream and anti-aging serum, it was a pretty easy decision to purchase this. I’ve also tried a couple of Ole Henriksen’s products that I’ve enjoyed so hopefully these ones don’t disappoint.

This set includes Ultimate Lift Eye Crème, Ultimate Lift Firming Serum, and Ultimate Lift Eye Gel.

My skin has been super dry lately from the weather so I’ve been eyeing up some Laneige products. I recently tried their Water Bank moisture cream and love it. It was rich but didn’t break me out. Full size is super expensive so I found this Advanced Hydration Trial Kit for $15 ($26.53 value)! I can’t wait to try the serum and mask.

This set includes Multi Cleanser, Water Bank Serum, Water Bank Moisture Cream, and Water Sleeping Mask.

November is my birthday month so I was able to choose my free birthday gift! The choice was pretty easy for me because the Marc Jacobs set contained lipstick and I’m not a big fan of lipstick. I’ve also been wanting to try some skin care from Fresh!

This gift includes Soy Face Cleanser, and Rose Face Mask.

Finally, last but not least, the free samples I got with my orders! I did two separate orders to maximize my samples, since I knew I would get free shipping anyway. I’m actually missing one sample, which is disappointing, but I wasn’t going to bother e-mailing them over one free little sample! I used the code ILLUMINATES to get the Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream deluxe sample and the code SKINGOALS for the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask deluxe sample.

So, now I have lots of skin care to get through! I find I go through serums, eye creams, and cleansers really quick but masks take me forever to get through one bottle. I want to be careful not to buy too many masks in the near future, just until I am able to use up what I already have.

I can’t wait for the VIB sale. I have a few things in mind I want to buy. I’m thinking Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner (because my Stila is not helping my wing!) for sure. I’m also debating if I want to try buying a new foundation and I think I have it narrowed down to Estée Lauder’s Double Wear and Kat Von D’s Lock-It. Thoughts? Any recommendations for me for the sale?

  1. Haha I completely understand! This was me last month when the Sephora cashier sales associate told me I was $7 away!!! I was like WHAAAAT?! I ended up getting two of the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Splits that was $75 so I hit VIB lol I’m also VERY EXCITED for the VIB sale! I’m posting a wishlist for it on my blog! I’m most likely not going to even get half of those things but hopefully a few. 😀

    1. Haha that is awesome. Glad I am not the only one! XD I’m going to check out your blog. I’m trying to decide what to get but one of my items went out of stock AS I was checking out. Going to be a fun sale lol.

      1. Awww that sucks! I hate it when that happens. I’m going to Sephora tomorrow, praying to the makeup gods that I get what I’m looking for.
