Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve loved The Body Shop! I lived really close to downtown so my friend and I would walk to their store and smell everything. Some of their products are pretty expensive but I like what they stand for – community trade and never testing on animals.
I haven’t ordered from them since last December. I find the products I buy from them actually last forever! 10 out of 11 products I’m still using to this day. I’ve been wanting some skin care products of theirs so I waited for their recent “Buy 3 Get 3 Free” sale while eBates was at 8% cash back!
Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask
This product is the main reason I wanted to do a skin care order. I had a sample of this and loved it. It really made my skin feel so soft and look so radiant when I woke up. I was pleasantly surprised by how big this is (and how heavy!). Most of the other products I purchased look tiny in comparison!
Drops of Youth Youth Concentrate
This was the most expensive item I bought but since I had tried a sample of it, I knew it was worth the money. I really liked it and how stunning my skin looked after using.
Pomegranate Firming Night Cream
I wanted to buy some more Drops of Youth products but unfortunately they weren’t included in the sale. So I decided to give the pomegranate line a try since it’s also for anti-aging!
Pomegranate Firming Serum
I go through serums pretty quickly as I use them twice a day – morning and night. This one has great reviews and I can’t wait to try it!
Pomegranate Firming & Refreshing Eye Roll-On
I was a little disappointed with the last eye cream I bought from here (the Aloe Vera Eye Defense) because it was just way too sticky and pilled. I’ve never tried a roll-on but I hope I like this one a lot better!
Vitamin C Skin Boost
If there’s one thing I learned about my recent skin care research, it’s Vitamin C is very good for your skin! I’m not sure yet what the texture of this product is – a cream, serum, etc. It doesn’t say. But I’m excited to find out!
In total, I paid $109.84 (after taxes) for 6 items ranging from $28-$40 each. It works out to $18.30 per item. The Buy 3 Get 3 Free sale is the perfect time to stock up on their more expensive products.
At the time of my order, there was a promo code BLEMISH to receive sample sizes of Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash and Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner. I believe you can still use the code (must spend at least $10). I was pleased to see how big the samples were! I use quite a few of their Tea Tree products and it looks like they’ve done a revamp on the line.
I was also sent a sample of the Drops of Youth concentrate. The one thing I don’t like about their samples is you have to spend $75 to get one. They are just tiny foil samples so I think $75 is way too high. Even if they lowered it to $50, I think that would be more acceptable.
FYI, they currently have free shipping and everything is 40% off sitewide!
So what do you think? Have you tried any of these products I bought? Were they hit or miss for you? Or tell me your favourite TBS products so I can add them to my list to try!!
