The One with The Kit’s Summer Survival Guide Box

This summer, Topbox and The Kit joined forces yet again to put out an awesome box for purchase. This one is called the “Summer Survival Guide Box” and included some amazing products. These are great boxes to buy if you don’t want to commit to subscriptions!!

As described by Topbox:

Indulge! Behold the bold beauty products you need for your summer survival. Available now in one kit, delivered straight to your doorstep.

Now let’s take a closer look at it’s contents.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Colour Deepening Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment
The neat thing about this box is you had a choice between the Visibly Deeper set or Visibly Brighter set (both for brunettes). Only downfall is if you’re not a brunette – like myself. I decided the value of the box was worth it, though, even if I wouldn’t use these. My sister is a brunette and I thought it would make a great gift for her so it actually worked out in the end! I love John Frieda, especially their conditioner so I’m a little jelly. 😉
Retail Value: Shampoo – $9.97 / Conditioner – $9.97 / Treatment – $9.97

Elizabeth Arden Mini Beauty Discoveries Flawless Future
So this was not actually supposed to be part of the box. My original box somehow got lost in the Canada Post warehouse so Topbox sent a new one. Unfortunately, the Burt’s Bees BB Cream in my shade was sold out, so they kindly offered to replace it with a product of my choice. I asked them to surprise me with something skin care and this is what they gave me! It’s perfect for me!
Retail Value: Caplet Serum – $12.50 / Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 – $8.68 / Eye Gel – $16.67

Burt’s Bees BB Cream with Noni Extract SPF 30 (not pictured)
I was pretty disappointed when Topbox told me they were sold out. I have a small sample and it’s a really nice BB cream that smells amazing. However, I’m super happy with my replacement product above and it upped the value of the box a lot!!
Retail Value: $16.47

Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray / Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
These are both items I have received in the past (spray from Ipsy/shampoo from Luxe Box) and I love both of them. I love having spares and travel size items. The beach spray smells absolutely phenomenal (coconut-y!!) and the dry shampoo works like a charm.
Retail Value: Beach Spray – $4.22 / Dry Shampoo – $4.34

North American Hemp Co. Linoleic Line Lifting Face Cream
This is a natural face cream made with organic Canadian hemp seed oil. It helps slow down the signs of aging! Can’t wait to try this.
Retail Value: $2.65

O.R.G Skincare Mineral Face Peel
I got this in my June Topbox. I’ve used it a couple of times already. I feel like it really does its job of extracting dermal debris and dead skin.
Retail Value: $6.39

Di Morelli SPF 45 UVA/UVB
I was not previously familiar with this brand but I love that this sunscreen is non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and provides UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) skin protection.
Retail Value: $9

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum
I’m so happy I finally get to try a Caudalie product! This is a brightening serum that also corrects dark spots so it will hopefully help with acne scars!
Retail Value: $26.33

Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel
This eye gel has caffeine to wake up your skin while it moisturizes. I love this brand and can’t wait to try this!!
Retail Value: $24.95

Know Cosmetics No Thin Lips Secret Lip Plumper / Deborah Lippmann Luxurious Nail Color
I’ve always wanted full, plump lips but instead I got little baby lips. I have been intrigued in the past to try a lip plumper but never did. I’m a bit nervous but I think I will give it a try when I have a couple days off work in a row (in case I look a nightmare after lol). The nail lacquer is a very pretty pale green called “Spring Buds” that I will definitely wear.
Retail Value: Lip Plumper – $18 / Nail Lacquer – $20

Total Retail Value (with Elizabeth Arden Mini Beauty Discoveries): $183.64
Total Retail Value (with Burt’s Bees BB Cream): $162.26
What I Paid: $30 (down from $35 with a $5 off code)

So as you can see, the replacement product they sent me upped the box value by $21.38! But even if I had received my BB Cream as intended, a $162 box value for $35 is amazing. I’m so happy Topbox and The Kit keep putting out these awesome boxes. From what I hear, there will be another one coming out this September. As long as there are great products like these, I’ll be purchasing for sure!!

xoxo, Tigritsa
